The undersigned are scientists and public policy scholars who formed an environmental working group as part of the Oxford Round Table which met at Oxford, England on four occasions as a symposium to clarify the complex issues surrounding climate change and sustainability.  Today, in the aftermath of the Deepwater Horizon disaster, a working group of this symposium has prepared the attached statement which was released on August 25, 2010.
